iPhone 5S vs Samsung Galaxy S4: S4 beats 5S in camera, display & processor power

Yesterday there was so much enthusiasm among Apple fans and the market. The most awaited smartphone of the year was set to arrive and there was expected to be festival type atmosphere. Almost everyone who uses a smartphone or who wants to see good handset, besides of course Apple fan boys, Apple haters and market analysts were all ears if they failed to make it to the Cupertino based company’s media event.
iPhone 5S vs Samsung Galaxy S4: S4 beats 5S in camera, display & processor powerThe handset was being awaited for months if not for the last one year and the excitement reached its height in recent weeks when leaks after leaks and photos after photos made their way to blogosphere and newspapers.

For at least last three months there were rumors almost on a daily basis. Though Apple continues to deny that it itself is behind some leaks, nonetheless given the sort of close resemblance we find in iPhone 5S and the rumors, we can certainly be sure that Apple had some hands in leaking iPhone 5S features and specs.

This was done in a way to keep people guessing and interested in its next generation handset(s). As far as Apple’s newly launched first of its kind low cost iPhone 5S version is concerned, the rumors seem to be on the dot with almost everything rightly predicted.

To be true, despite all the enthusiasm, Apple’s iPhone 5S doesn’t really is a revolutionary new product and will be facing the heat from many top Android handsets in the days to come. There are many handsets from Sony, Samsung, HTC and LG that will haunt it day and night. But its biggest market competitor is going to be Samsung’s Galaxy S4 that is the highest selling handset in the market at the moment. Both Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5S are going to be available across all the cellular networks in the US. From 20th September onwards the handset will be shipped and will be available in stores.

Apple’ latest baby is getting good words from almost everyone. The new high-end iPhone 5S comes in silver, gold and space grey colors also apart from its typical black and white. To entice the new gen customers, especially the youngsters, Apple has designed its fresh iPhones with different hues. Under the hood, the premium model of 2013 iPhone mounts the brand new A7 chip, which as per Apple can provide two times better performance than its former model. In comparison Galaxy S4 comes with very powerful processor. It comes with 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor as it is one of the most powerful – if not the most powerful – phone around. It comes with 2GB RAM.

As far as display is concerned, Apple has tried to make its handset great. But to be true, it doesn’t really match with Galaxy S4. Apple’s new iPhone 5S comes with 4-inch Retina display of a pixel resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels at 326-ppi. Compared to it Galaxy S4 comes with far more impressive display of 5-inch, 1080p resolution, Super AMOLED and comes with almost 400 PPI density, a lot better than iPhone 5S. If you want to see it in simple terms you can understand it this way. Apple’s new baby comes with 4-inch, 1,136-by-640-pixel display while Galaxy S4 comes with 5-inch, 1,920-by-1,080-pixel screen

As far as camera is concerned, I am sure Apple fans must be feeling disappointed with old 8 mega pixel camera being given to them in a new packaging. Compared to it Galaxy S4 comes with the best camera on offer. Its 13MP sensor is one of the best in the class. The Samsung camera is far more powerful than Apple iPhone 5S as it manages to come up trumps when trying to frame the perfect shot. You can get almost flawless macro shots instantly and without having to coax the phone to take them; it also has a wide range of features that are presented in a really easy to use interface.

Another plus with Galaxy S4 is its storage. While Cupertino based company has launched its iPhone 5S in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB varieties, Korean tech giant’s Galaxy doesn’t have a 64GB version at the moment despite announcement. But Galaxy S4 has a microSD memory card for 64GB cards. So here too Galaxy S4 simply beats iPhone 5S that has come several months after its launch.
